A CAD Tool for low-order controller design

Resumen:

A MATLAB based CAD Tool is presented for reduced order controller design based on a multi-model scheme. This multi-model scheme adaptively searches for the lowest order plant model which is then used to design a low order controller, with the purpose of achieving a predefined closed-loop performance. The CAD Tool is in development phase and is intended to be used for both controller designers and academic education. By now, it is able to simulate the control system with the model set as a discrete time transfer function. The input is parametrized by its bandwidth and the CAD Tool also lets the user to compare the behavior of the controlled system with different bandwidths once the controller has been found.
